A: It all depends on what happens with the tickets. As you are aware, when you are under 21 and get two moving violation convictions in a 24 month period your license will be suspended. You are allowed two supervisions, which are not convictions, in a 12 month period, so if everything works out right for you, you should not lose your license. I strongly suggest that you hire an experienced attorney to assist you with all of these pending matters and that you do it right away.

A: Hello Asker,

As Mr. Ooink stated, you may be suspended if you have had two moving violations within 24 months that you were later convicted from. He is also correct with regards to the limitation on supervision for moving violations. I would add that you should certainly take under consideration that you may be suspended for a separate basis if you have a prior suspension on your record for moving violations. Anytime a driver under 21 has a prior suspension and receives a new moving violation before their 21st birthday which they are later convicted of, they will receive at minimum a 6 month suspension. As Mr. Ooink stated, I would recommend speaking to an attorney and scheduling a free consultation to at least assess your risk of suspension.

Hope that helps and let us know if you have any additional questions!

Sincerely,

Jason A. Wilkins
