A: Hello Asker,

What happens to your license will depend on what state your license was issued in. If you are an Illinois driver, then you may be at risk of suspension. If you have a Colorado license (as your location would seem to imply, you should definitely consult a Colorado attorney. As for your 26 mph ticket, you should definitely consider representation for that because it is a misdemeanor offense in Illinois and there are restrictions on supervision that relate to it, particularly if you have had a history of high speed tickets (26 or more) or if it occurred in a specific area such as a so called urban district.

Either way, there are far too many pieces of missing information to accurately assist you in this. Things like your age, the timing of when the tickets were issued, what state your license was issued by, and what state these offenses occurred in all impact what will happen. My recommendation is that you call an attorney for a free consultation so that they can ask these follow up questions and help identify your issue.

Hope that helps and let us know if you have any questions!

Sincerely,

Jason A. Wilkins
