Q: I've had my car for 5 months. I just last month, wrecked and flipped my car, but just now receiving a recall. Help?
I've had my car for 5 months, and I just wrecked last month.
A: I am not sure what your issue is. Is your issue that you believe the wreck resulted from a defect in the vehicle that is the subject of the recall? Or is your issue how do you handle the recall in light of the ongoing repairs of your car? It just isn't clear to me. I don't want to go into a long explanation if I have misunderstood your question. Sorry.
A: Unless the recall is limited to suspension the recall itself doesn't mean anything. Recalls are to retrofit items. If the item caused the wreck you may have a claim for the damage to the car and your injuries. In that case consult a member of the Tenn. Assn for Justice--they give free consults.
