Q: A friend of mine slipped on the stairs in my house and fractured his ankle. Unfortunately my limit for medical is only

$2,000 and he wants to sue my insurance co. under liability. Do I have personal liability?

A: Your personal liability only exists if there was a condition that was dangerous you caused through carelessness.

However if you mean will you be sued etc, how it works is for some bizarre reason it's difficult to get high medical payment policies for property liability. So the next part of the claim is to liability.

They may not pay if the slip and fall was not your fault. (the medpay is different).
