Q: I'm 17 and got my first speeding ticket going 64 in a 55. what's the best thing to do? Just pay or go to court
If I just paid would it go on my driving record ? if it does would it come off when I'm 18? Or would it be better to go to court? I really don't know what to do

If a Minnesota resident and Minnesota licensed driver pays a speeding ticket for 64 in a 55 mph zone, that would be treated under Minnesota Statutes so-called "Dimler Amendment law" so that though the conviction would appear on the court record, it would not appear on the drivers license record. Many people will pay these rather than go to court to contest them, since they will not go on the drivers license record.
