Germantown, TN asked in Car Accidents for Tennessee

Q: I was backing up my car as I was getting out of my garage when I bombed into a car passing by. Is it my mistake?

She bombed into the neighbor as she said while she was trying to avoid me. her car damaged where she bombed into the wall. we didn't call the police at the moment. Later I renewed my car insurance and provided her with the policy number. when she contacted the insurance company they told her that I just instated my policy and they didn't get back to her. she is trying to get me fix her car. what should I do?

I mean she saw me when I was packing up. is not she supposed to stop then?

Her husband was necking my door as crazy and cut the outage from my house. What do you advise me?

A: I'm not sure what you say the husband is doing. A lot depends on who hit whom where. However in general she has the right of way, you don't. If she hit a wall that may be a claim, too. If your insurance was in force at the time let them handle it. If not, be aware she can ask to have your license suspended until you pay her. If you pay for the damage to her car you want to get a release of all claims, not just the damage to her car. It's worth your contacting a member of the Tenn. Assn for Justice--most give free consults if you were injured.
