Boca Raton, FL asked in Business Law for Florida

Q: Hi, Agency has no clients but wants to put companies they've worked with (not for).

I am building a website for a software development agency in Florida. They have no clients as an agency, but the owners have worked for many companies, and with many (using their software). They have permission to use their logos under a section called "companies we've worked with" since the owners did work with these companies. But is that misleading to potential clients of the agency? Or is it just stating that "these are the companies we've worked with"?

A: It totally depends upon how it looks in final format. I would be cautious to go overboard in using logo's ect of other companies. Get iron clad written permission as you need to avoid copyright issues.
