Q: Would the father of unborn child get full custody? What can I do to prevent this? I been trying to get alone with him

But it's hard because he can be verbal abusive. And im afarid for my baby in his care. Also do i have to have him in the delivery room?

He will be entitled to some kind of relationship with your child; the question is whether you have sufficient evidence to prove you believe he may be harmful and therefore limit his contact to supervised visitation.

A: It would be unusual for custody of a a newborn to be given to the father but it can happen. I'm not sure why you're worrying about this other than because he's being so difficult. It's true as well, though, that he will likely be granted some sort of custodial rights to your child, although usually with a newborn the time is limited and often frequent rather than for extended hours, such as over weekend. And, no, you don't have to have anyone else in the delivery room except for medical personnel..
