Q: I am married and was arrested for domestic battery. They told us no contact, how long does the no contact last?
My wife and I want to work things out but no one is telling us how long to stay away from each other, and my court date isn't for another two weeks.
A: Your bond slip will tell you. If there is no time frame on the bond slip, you can not have contact with her until your case is resolved. An experienced attorney can motion to the court to have the conditions of your bond modified to allow you to have contact with your wife. I strongly suggest you hire an experienced attorney right away.
