A: You should go to your county clerk and request an accounting of all the child support you have paid this year. The only way your child support could be increasing when you are making regular and timely payments is if you are paying less than the court ordered amount each month. Indiana child support is determined through a child support worksheet which considers the parents income, amount of overnights each parent has with the children, and a few additional factors. It may be worthwhile to have a family law attorney review the support order in your case to make sure the amount of support is just and reasonable?
