Q: Can i sue? Is it worth it? Hard plastic shard semi swallowed from drinking coffee.

I bought a frozen coffee from dunkin donuts today around 540am sipped on it throughout the morning as usual. Around 10am when i had about finished the whole coffee i noticed what i had thought to be a chunk of uncrushed ice in my mouth. (Since its common i thought nothing of it) when i went to swallow however this "harmless chunk of ice" would not go down my throat. It got stuck at the top (like when a pill gets stuck) of my throat and from fear my body did the only natural solution it could think of, which was gag until i threw up. And out of my mouth came a sharp hard plastic blue tinted shard almost a inch in length. It definitely did not come from my cup! After getting it out of my mouth my throat felt irritated and from fear of possibly swallowing more maybe early on and not realizing it, i threw up more. I have no clue what to do. I saved the cup with the shard in it and the remaining coffee. My coworkers who witnessed it happened told me to look into seeing what could be done.

A: Evidently you were not injured. If not, you probably don't have the right to sue.
