Q: What does it mean when a court determines it no longer has jurisdiction over defendents probation mean.

Me and the mother of my kids both got child endanger ment charges in 2012 and got supervised probation we ended up splitting up and she's lived in other states for the last few years she came back to Missouri and got arrested and recalled that warrant and let her off

A: If the court allows you to be on probation and then you move away from the county or the state, then the court no longer has any control over the defendant. So, basically, defendant has not served probation and may have to start over once they have moved back, or ask for probation to be transferred to the new location where defendant is living.
