Q: Is leaving a note during suicide enough to change beneficiaries?
My brother committed suicide and left a note to have funds used for funeral arrangements. My niece and daughter are named beneficiaries for 401k and,life insurance. I am wondering can the note and parents become administrators be given funds. Either way I will be making sure they receive the money for the funeral cost. But my brother ex has full guardianship of my niece. Will she be entitled to the money? Or can my parents gain administration through court?
