A: I have been representing marriage green card clients for many years and had not run into issues of people being delayed in hearing the results after the interview for quite some time up until very recently. Before then, unless there was a serious problem with evidence of the marriage relationship or ability to support, applicants were generally notified right at the end of the interview that their cases were being approved, and were receiving their green cards a week or two later. Now we are in the "Donald Trump Era" and prompt marriage case decisions may be becoming extinct. The best approach might be to wait another month, and if there is still no result, visit the immigration office in person and ask to speak with the officer who interviewed you or, better still, a supervisor.
