Q: My condo association is holding a vote to change a specific bylaw that will financially benefit certain condo owners.
48 condos have decks, 24 do not. Current bylaws state condo owner is responsible for repair or replacement of their own decks. Now the condo owners with decks want to change the bylaw to say the association will pay the costs which will include all the non-deck owners. How can a bylaw be changed that gives a financial benefit to just the deck owners? This doesn’t seem legal.
