Q: I moved here from Mississippi 3 weeks ago to escape a domestic violence situation caused by PTSD.
He is filing for divorce now. I have my motorcycle with me, I left the other vehicles with him. I have traded the motorcycle for a car but the new owner of the bike can't register it because my husband is holding the title hostage until I sign off on the divorce conditions: i.e. other vehicles, deed of trust to the home, his retirement, etc. This is a 30 year marriage, 20 of which was during his active duty. I get nothing. I need help, I have no money, I'm looking for a job, but I'm in jeopardy of losing the car because of the title for the motorcycle being held up. HELP
