A: Most attorneys will provide a free consultation. Contact a local attorney to find out your legal rights as to compensation and coverage for property damage and / or personal injuries. While AVVO is a wonderful forum, it is not a substitute for having the legal advice from an attorney as to the particular issues and questions applicable to your situation. You will not be obligated to hire the attorney who you meet with or talk over the phone for the free consultation. Good luck.

A: First thing is to understand there will likely be consequences for not having a valid license. But that is likely regardless of if you move forward with a claim. To that end, you should consider consulting with a criminal defense attorney about the consequences, likely someone who handles traffic tickets. I doubt you will have any real criminal issues, more likely just a lot of DMV types of issues.

A: You still have a right to make a claim. Contact a member of the Ore. Assn for Justice--they give free consults.

A: If you were injured in the collision, you have a valid claim for personal injuries, which may include lost wages if you are unable to work, health care expenses for any health care treatment you receive as a result of your injuries, and compensation for pain and suffering. You should contact an attorney to determine your options.
