Mount Sterling, OH asked in Landlord - Tenant for Indiana

Q: My landlord charges us for gas but he never gives us a physical bill just verbally.

The mobile home park I live in has only 15 mobile homes and we're all charged for gas usage (understandable) but we're never given a bill just told what we owe. I've tested them on how they calculate usage by not using any gas due to the fact the stove is the only thing that uses gas and the bill was 88$ when it wasn't used. Can I be charged for gas without a proper bill showing what I've used? And if so what's the legal billing formula to calculate if what I'm being charged is correct. I know the gas company shows you how much it costs for some many units used with proof.

A: You can be charged for gas without seeing a bill. That said, if you believe that you are being overcharged you should ask to see the actual bill.
