Q: Do I have to be a resident of TN to be divorced in TN.I have never lived in TN.

Was served papers stating we separated on March 7, 2018 and that we reside at least 6 months in the county. Once again never lived in TN

A: ONE of the two married persons must be a Tennessee resident and that person must have resided in Tennessee for at least 6 months prior to the filing. If you object to having the divorce granted in Tennessee,

you most likely need to consult an attorney to assist you in getting the case dismissed.
