New York, NY asked in Personal Injury for New Jersey

Q: Is this a fair settlement or can a lawyer help me get more money?

I was rear-ended and the other parties insurance determined that I was not at fault in Fort Lee, NJ. However, on my NJ auto policy, I select Limited Tort Coverage which says that I can collect non-economic losses. I missed two days of work (approximately $500). The insurance company has offered me $1500 to settle. They are not compensating me for injuries, pain or suffering. However, they have paid my medical bills.

A: Maybe a lawyer could get you more money, but we would need to know much more information. I suggest you setup an in office consultation with a lawyer and let that lawyer tell you what he/she can do.

A: More information about your injuries is needed to properly answer this question. Consult a personal injury lawyer right away for a free consultation. Good luck.
