I am trying to find out the process that I will need to go through to adopt my soon to be wife two children in the state of Louisiana. Their biological father was killed tragically two years ago.
A: Once you and your fiance are married, contact an attorney who handles intrafamily adoptions. You can't file to adopt until you and their mother are married for 180 days.
