Q: ok so my ex wife and i have a open case with defax from what they say.she failed 2 drug tests and fled to south carolina

so i have a new g/f and we are pretty serious well she is going through a custody battle her ex tries to put fear in her.he has had the girl like 8 days straight and he doesnt claim the little boy.i told her that he was trying to keep the girl more than usual to beat child support like non custodial parent has child more than ordered...but they havnt went to custody hearing yet dnas still havnt came back.he called defacs and told them i was beating the kids....there are no bruises i love the kids and my gf....but they said i was a bad person basically that i had to leave because i have a open case that cant be closed because my ex fled state....me and her want to be together and if the boy isnt his i want to claim him.....can they take her kids for me and her seeing each other what rights does she or i have to keep my new found joy

A: You can't just claim a child like a found penny. You've got a lot going on here. You need to simply sit down with an attorney and consult with them about how you should handle both of these situations.
