Q: Can joint custody negate child support or will someone else adopting the child stop it?
Currently on sole custody but ex- husband wants to change it to joint custody to just stop child support. But recently my boyfriend asked if he could adopt my son.
A: Your boyfriend cannot adopt your child if you are not married. Your ex's support is not going to stop because he's not going to get joint custody.
