Southfield, MI asked in Business Law, Contracts and Employment Law for Michigan

Q: Can I keep a vehicle that is in my name in lieu of Vacation, Back, & Commission Pay after leaving a company?

I'd worked for a German co. wherein my Manager verbally gave me a month vacation for this year. Then he went and upset the owners wherein he was asked to leave. In January of this year, they offered me his position at a $2000 per month increase in my pay set for his termination in March. He did not leave until late May but I never received the monies even though I was performing the job. So I left the company for greener fields.

I've two vehicles one in my name one in the company name but my home address. they want me to sell them both, return all goods to them and shut down the office per se. The problem is they do not want to pay vacation pay or my last commission on a sale. I wish to hold the vehicle in my name until they pay me.
