Q: Can the mother keep the father from seeing his child..they are separated..not a legal sep.

There have not been any papers filed for divorce...they do live apart...she lives with her boyfriend. She is trying to keep him from seeing his daughter or have his daughter with him for a weekend.

A: Both parties have equal rights to the child. If he wants to get court ordered parenting time, he needs to file for divorce.

A: The father has the same rights as the mother does, so he legally can see the child. He should consult with an attorney who can help him take the proper course of action for the divorce and child custody arrangements.
