Peoria, IL asked in Traffic Tickets for Illinois

Q: Ticket for 83 in a 55 but when i looked at my speedometer 30 seconds before he pulled me over i was doing 70. Options?

There was an SUV behind me that the cop agreed was going faster then i was but said it was impossible that the radar got him because i was next to a car and we would have blocked the SUV from being clocked.

A: Speeding 26 miles per hour or more but under 35 miles or more than the posted speed limit is a criminal Class B misdemeanor in Illinois. Violators face possible fines up to $1500 and possible jail time up to 180 days in the county jail. Best option is to show up to Court with an experienced traffic attorney.
