A: You do not have any rights. The paternity acknowledgment gives you the right to pay child support but not to have any custody or visitation time. You need to hire an attorney and file for legitimation to ask for custodial rights.

A: Until you legitimize the child you will not have any legal rights. It's important that you legitimize so that you have the legal rights you are looking for. Consult with an attorney who can help you plan the proper course of action. -Homer P. Jordan IV, Esq. 404-620-1558 HomerJordan.com

A: Unfortunately, you do not have any custodial rights. You will need to file a petition in Superior Court for legitimation in order to establish any rights to custody or visitation with your daughter. Until then, any contact you have with your daughter will be solely at the discretion of the mother.
