Q: Can I work from home as a freelancer for the same company with whom I am currently employed full time?
I am in the process of setting up a home typesetting business but my company says it doesn't make any difference, I still wouldn't be able to do it. I can understand the reasoning, that they would appear to be having me work without paying overtime, but if I had my own business, they would be paying the business. I just want to know if there is no way I can do this, there's no point in setting up the business, which is not cheap. State of Maine charges somewhere around $200 to reserve a business name and file the paperwork
