Villa Rica, GA asked in Bankruptcy for Georgia

Q: I’m in Georgia and I have a bankruptcy question. I owe taxes for a few years and a couple of those years are un-filed.

What's the best course of actions. I'm not sure if I need to do a 7 or 11 overall but I wanted to get all my debt at one time in 1 place. Any help would be great.

A: First get to an accountant and get all your taxes filed and in order. The go see Counsel for a Chapter 13 or a Chapter 7 depending on the amount of debts (Secured v Unsecured). You may find that it is not worth filing for bankruptcy depending on the debts and just entering a repayment plan with the IRS

A: First get all your taxes filed. Then hire a lawyer to assess your situation. If your taxes are infilled, you can’t discharge them.
