Cordova, TN asked in Bankruptcy for Tennessee

Q: What happens to property surrendered in bankruptcy but nothing was done with property. Bankruptcy was filed 8 year ago

Lost a big lawsuit and had to file bankruptcy and within it a piece of property Was surrendered including mortgages on the property due to the bankruptcy. My question is the piece of property is sitting the way it was when it was surrendered it’s like they don’t really know it is there’s it has been eight years plus since the Bankruptcy. Would the property go back to the original owner before the bankruptcy or is it still the people that was surrendered to. Keep in mind it’s still has the original persons name on the property if you look it up online but in court documents it clearly states it was surrender. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

A: It likely reverts to the original since it is in his name.
