First Class B (30 miles over) in Will County. Second is a Class A (35 miles over) and was in a construction zone in Dupage County. Also had a red light ticket. This is all at 19 and in under 6 months from obtaining license. Jail? Suspended? Revoked? He got a lawyer for the first and was continued to January. 2nd case has court date in December.

A: Probably need to hire a lawyer and try for supervision on at least one and maybe a speed reduction. Jail is unlikely but if you are convicted of both your license will be suspended probably for a year.

A: Jail can often be avoided, but he should seek legal representation on both. Traffic school and community service are very common penalties as well. He needs to avoid a conviction on two offenses in order to avoid a license suspension (2 convictions within 24 months under the age of 21).

A: You must tell the attorney about the new ticket right away. The sooner you speak with the attorney you have for the first ticket the better. You should have one attorney handle both matters.
