Nashville, TN asked in Criminal Law for Tennessee

Q: I.e.Good Semaritin laws /OD immunity. Can a person be charged with possession if they posses Drugs they did not OD on?

Doing a research project. I know about the immunity/Good Semaritin laws about over dosing. What I could not find is information regarding if Somone was to overdose on Heroine, but law enforcement found and confiscated cocaine or amphetamines on said person that overdosed. Do these laws apply, or since one is not related to the other can they still be charged?

A: I have represented people who have OD'd and have been charged with the drugs that were found in their possession.
