There can be limitations, such as if a contractor was performing work, the carrier could issue a denial on the grounds that it would be a workers' comp matter. You could check the terms of your policy. If you want to submit the claim and it is denied, you could consult with a Michigan attorney who could advise more meaningfully after reviewing policy.
