Q: can I be ticketed for not pulling over fast enough?
An officer gave me a ticket and wrote that it was in accordance with 32:123 for “ignoring the blue lights”. I was driving in one direction, and the cop came from the other direction so he actually turned around on the highway to come stop me. I didn’t realize he wanted to stop me and tried to get over so that he could pass, but I realized he meant to stop me when he stayed directly behind me when I was trying to pass other vehicles in the right lane. It is an incredibly small town (Baskin in Franklin parish). I will plead guilty to speeding, but can I be ticketed for taking too long to pull over(by MAYBE 30 seconds) when it took about 5 minutes just for the cop to catch up to me from the other direction?
