Prairieville, LA asked in Traffic Tickets for Tennessee

Q: Unpaid speeding ticket from early 2010

I called TN DMV (i do not know where the ticket was given, it was on a freeway) and they have no record of my name anywhere. I have a valid LA license that is clear. I am worried that there is a bench warrant for my arrest. I will be undergoing a background check to attend my son’s Navy bootcamp graduation in May and I am afraid I will be arrested and unable to attend. If LA and TN do not have a record, am I in the clear? The TN DMV stayed that perhaps the trooper did not turn in the ticket and it was treated as a warning. I am super paranoid about the background check. I don’t know what they check for, but I have heard that they will arrest anyone at the RTC gate that has a warrant. Please help!

A: You will need to hire an attorney to check with the Court Offices in the Counties near the Interstate Stop in 2010. You also need a TBI Background Check. All of this could be completed in about two weeks from when you obtain competent counsel.
