Q: So exactly what would a prenup do in case if the marriage and keeping my wife from pressing any child support?
I was advised that my fiance and I should get a prenup once we are married to protect her from any subsequent child support proceedings... But I don't exactly know what a prenup is nor what it does.
A: A prenuptial is before you are married. A postnuptial is after you are married. A post nuptial requires a court appearance. A prenuptial agreement does not. Then the baby's mother cannot claim you are benefitting from your spouse's income or assets. Without it, she can.
