A: It is a traffic offense. It is considered "Quasi-Criminal" because there is exposure to incarceration. However, a DWI conviction will not appear as a "Criminal" conviction on your record. It will appear on your driving record.

A: It is a traffic offense only, but considered a quasi-criminal offense because of the potential penalties, fines, loss of license and jail exposure.

A: A traffic ticket that will go on your MVC record. That being said it called a quasi criminal offense and if an accident occurred it can come with criminal charges also. If charge with any DWI make sure you get a good lawyer if you want a chance to win.
