Q: My son received a red light camera ticket 3 months after the fact. Can he fight it?
He requested a hearing back in December when he got the ticket, heard nothing from them until yesterday when he got a letter notifying him that his license would be suspended for failure to show up in court. He NEVER got the notification for the court date. He called today and the rep claimed it was sent but he could request a new court date if he pays $23. They transferred him but he was on hold for an hr and a half. He had to hang up because he's at work.
A: He can pay the $23 reinstatement fee and request a hearing. I am sure that he never received the notice but he will need to pay in order to make sure that his license does not go into suspension.
