Q: I got a red light Traffic violation worth $100 that was sent through mail last February 19,2019
Due to running on a red light that I just notice and couldn’t stop because I’m already in the middle of the intersection while driving so the hearing will be due on March 28,2019 what can I do? It’s just my first time driving experience and I got a new car
A: You can follow the instructions to contest the ticket based on the fact that you were already in the intersection when the light changed. It may require that you appear in court for a hearing. It is up to the Judge to review the evidence and determine if you were at fault. Otherwise, just pay the ticket. Most photo enforced tickets are essentially treated like parking tickets and will not count against your driving record.
