Q: With joint legal custody does the father have to discuss medical as well as our of state travel with me? Temp order.

Temporary order; I'm Purina custodian; he gets a 6 week visit with 2 babies. Joint legal custody. Leaving to sc told me last minute

A: Yes, he is supposed to discuss. However, a trip to South Carolina on his parenting time doesn't seem like an issue if your child can be reached via cell phone.

A: Any major decisions regarding medical treatment of the children should be discussed prior to having a procedure. As far as out of state travel, if there is no restriction on travel in your parenting plan, then there is no requirement of notice or permission for out of state travel.
