Wilkes-barre, PA asked in Civil Litigation for Pennsylvania

Q: Is their a statue of limitations for sueing officers that enter your home without a warrant?

Officers I guess knocking on my door. My husband and 2 daughter's ages 8 and 9 were asleep. We heard lots of noise as I went to see what the problem was. I had two officers entering my home through my picture window guns drawn. It was so fast my disabled husband thrown to the floor cuffed. Yes I panicked ran up stairs to my daughter's. Officer came up stairs cuffed me . This took place over 2 hours as we waited for CPS. They came in the mean time I was asking for a lawyer, camra anything. I was told you'll have rights when we leave.cause of course I kept telling them my rights. Well when they were done we were told we had to many toys we should donate some. It hasn't stopped please let me know.

Thank you

A: Two years. You don't want to wait that long. Contact the Pa. Civil Liberties Union, ask for their "cooperating attorneys" for "police misconduct" cases in your area. They give free consults.
