Reading, PA asked in Family Law and Child Custody for Pennsylvania

Q: I’m not quite sure what my legal rights are so I’m not clear on what my next or should I say “first” step should entail.

First off...I am married. I married my husband Dave in 1999 and in 2009 we separated and I retained not court ordered “custody” of our three children. Two years into our separation I was pregnant by another man. This man did deny my daughter through my pregnancy but after the birth he did come around. His name is NOT on the birth certificate or ANY documentation for that fact (Not sure if this will pertain to my dilemma or not) Anyway...

Me and my daughters father have not had a physical relationship for 4 yrs now and we were very civil with each other if not even friendly. He is a good father I would never deny him that (even though the child support was very sporadic) it never really bothered me to be financially responsible for basically everything because he was consistent with visitation and he actually would spend time with her when he did have her ( 1 night every weekend)

IM SORRY BUT I CAN NOT FULLY EXPLAIN MY DILEMMA. If someone could please email me so I can continue

A: My suggestion is that you initially pose a question, rather than give all of the factual background. If it's a very detailed situation, then I suggest you schedule an appointment with a family law attorney in your area so that you can have sufficient time to explain everything to him/her. This forum is necessarily limited, and really only for basic questions of law.

Best of luck to you!

A: I agree with Attoney Hall. Your best bet is to schedule an appointment with an experienced family law attorney. My guess from reading what you've written so far is that you need this face to face meeting, not a response which cannot take into accounts all factors, which is what you'll get here.
