A: More information is needed to properly answer your question, but if you were the injured one definitely seek out the assistance of a good lawyer the longer you wait the harder it will be to compensated for your injuries and at some point the statute of limitations will run and you will recover nothing.

A: You should make sure it is properly reported to your insurance company, and consult with an attorney. Were there any injuries and/or traffic summons issued?

A: If it's your kid, report the incident to the insurance company like you would any crash. If it's the other driver same thing--make a claim on their policy, report to yours. Contact a member of the NJ Assn for Justice--they give free consults. If you need the names of any, give me a call.
