Q: Okay, I have a court date on June 26. But i’m flying out on June 8 and not coming back until July 28! Can I postpone it?

A: Depending on a couple of factors, there are different options. More information is needed - courthouse/county and the type of offense. You can file a motion at the courthouse to bring the case into court early and request to reset the initial court date. You may also be able to hire an attorney to appear in court and handle the matter on your behalf while you are traveling.
