A: If you are 100% sure there were no damages to any persons or property there is probably nothing the other driver can say or do. However a person doesn't always know at the scene of the accident if there are no damages and no injuries. The other driver had the right to get your information - your driver's license and insurance. It's unclear whether or not you properly exchanged driver's info or if the other driver said it wasn't necessary. If your scared maybe it's worth it to call an Attorney and they can check with the police to see if anyone is looking for you. But if the police were looking for you and they already know your license plate (because the other driver snapped a photo) they would have contacted you already. If this just happened, you may yet get contacted by the police. What I have seen in hit and run cases is that the police investigate right away - like within 24 hours.

Saying you were too scared to wait for the police to show up sounds kind of lame unless you had something to hide, like you had been drinking (or toking) and you figured leaving was the best way to avoid a DUII. If this is what is going on - then definitely have an Attorney make inquiries for you. If you check yourself you are likely to dig yourself into a deeper hole.
