Abbeville, LA asked in Adoption and Family Law for Louisiana

Q: What can I do if I want to have an adoption reversed?

My oldest son was kidnapped from me by his bio dad when he was 6 years old. His dad never had anything to do with him until that time, he's not listed on his birth certificate. His dad sued me for child support when he was 8. He won the case. He gave a false address for me and I never received papers for court. Was tossed in prison for nonsuport and his step mother adopted him. I did not give consent for this! My signature was foraged on documents and they told the judge I abandoned him, I abused him and that I did drugs. Not of those statements are true. My son is now 21. He has been in contact with me for over a year now. But when the step mother comes around he stops all contact. He has a son now, and I am over the moon in love with my grandson. I fear they will stop contact again because she has started coming back around. Is there anything I can do about this whole situation?

A: He's an adult now and can make his own decisions. If he wants you to adopt him back, he can as an adult.
