Q: Will my license still be suspended if I plead guilty with court supervision?
I received a minor traffic violation last year as a 16 year old and plead guilty without court supervision. I got another minor traffic violation yesterday. If I plead guilty with court supervision this time and take a 4-hour traffic school class, will my license still be suspended?
A: As long as you are granted court supervision on the second ticket, your license will not be suspended. It takes 2 convictions within 24 months to cause a license suspension. However, if you are still under 18 years old, you will need to appear in court with a parent in order to obtain court supervision. It is at the discretion of the judge to grant supervision.
