Q: Ive been denied a police report on a disorderly persons charge. Do I have the right to copy of the original report.

A: Are you the person accused and charged? If you're charged with this offence the prosecutor will disclose this information to you at some point. If you are not, then there are privacy concerns and the police will not simply turn over this information. There are freedom of information requests that can be filed to obtain the information and protect the accused person's privacy interests. Check with the police about their policies and procedures to provide this information. You can obtain the information but you don't have a right to it.
