A: In a way you can, yes, but it is not easy. It would entail hiring an attorney to file an action for "partition", which usually ends up as a court-ordered sale of the home with the proceeds split among the co-owner/heirs. If one of the heirs wants to be the buyer, she is welcome to submit a bid.
