Chickamauga, GA asked in Business Formation and Business Law for Georgia

Q: Are there any laws that prohibit a manager from hiring his spouse It is a private business with seven employees

My manager hired his wife he has never called her a comanager but she makes decisions like he does she did not have to move up the food chain and she is definitely treated differently than the rest of us it is a privately owned business he does not have her clocking in and out as well he has never directly said that she is a comanager but she is above us without him having to say it she never clocks in and I am pretty sure is on salary regardless if she works 40 hours or not he never reprimand her for her mistakes and she makes the schedule according to what works for her and how she feels about you are there any laws that prohibit her from being put in power without having to move up like the rest of us are there any laws that prohibit him from hiring her and treating her differently
